Purpose The student is required to use his judgement and estimation to answer
questions. This also requires the student to read and interpret a sentence
to extract out the appropriate mathematical equation. Functionality One of three question types is posed to the student with a sum that is
relatively difficult to get the correct answer without proper arithmetic.
Four alternative estimate answers are provided and the student needs to pick
the closest answer. Numbers being used are random but gravitate to base 10 or 100 boundaries
to make it the approximation easier. All estimate answers are rounded a factor of 10 to avoid exact matches. An ‘Answer Box’ is provided for the student to place the number that
represents the best estimate. Keys The [Enter] key automatically proceeds to the next question. General Other associated modules with similar functionality include BODMAS
