Activity Number 103

Heading : Multiply And Divide Number Facts

Description : Working out related x and ÷ sums using possible number sets:

Aim/Questions : Work out the answers with your knowledge of number facts.

Educational software theory used:

Multiply And Divide Number Facts

Many sums can be written in different ways using the same numbers, but changing the operators.

This is because Addition is the opposite of Subtraction, and Multiplication is the opposite of Division.

If we swap the numbers around, we can also swap the operators around.

For example

2 + 3 = 5

5 – 3 = 2

Or

2 x 4 = 8

8 ÷ 2 = 4

Educational software Instruction :

1.  Work out the missing part to each equation then type it into the ‘Answer Boxes’ provided.

2.  Press 'Enter' to move between the boxes.

3.  Click the 'OK' button when finished.
