Heading : Across And Down Addition

Description : Cross Adding 2 numbers, each up to 10.

Aim/Questions : Add the numbers in all rows and columns.

Educational software theory used:

Across And Down Addition

 

Notice that all the rows add up to the same amount as all the columns.  That is because it does not matter in which order you add numbers.

 

Adding is simply putting two lots of items together to create one larger group.

 

When you add two numbers you combine the amounts together.

 

 

 

Educational software Instruction :

1.  Add the numbers in the rows and columns to fill in the missing 'Answer Boxes'.

 

2.  Then add the last column or the last row to get the answer for the yellow 'Answer Box'.

 

3.  Press 'Enter' to move between the boxes.

 

4.  Click the 'OK' button when finished.
