A compass is an instrument for finding direction, usually having a magnetised needle swinging freely on a pivot, which points to magnetic north.
When we talk about compass directions we have four main terms or cardinal points.
North – is the direction towards the North Pole South – is the direction towards the South Pole East – is the direction towards the sunrise West – is the direction towards the sunset
We can also make other directions by combining the four main terms.
For example, if we say North-East then we mean a direction between North and East.
Educational software Instruction :1. Make the compass point in the correct direction.
2. Move the compass pointer by clicking on the 'Move Clockwise' or 'Move Anti-Clockwise' buttons.
3. Click the 'OK' button when finished.
