Young Einstein Mathematics Educational Software ContentsActivity Number 79Heading : Missing Part In Multiplication SumsDescription : Find a missing multiplier using multiples from possible number setsAim/Questions : Work out the missing part. Educational software theory used:Missing Part In Multiplication Sums
To work out the missing part of a sum it is easier if you rearrange the sum by using your understanding of simple maths facts.
For example our maths facts show that 2 x 3 = 6 and therefore 6 ÷ 3 = 2
We can use this understanding to rearrange sums to make them easier to solve. For example 2 x ? = 6 is the same as 6 ÷ 2 = ?
Rearranging the sum with the missing part at the end, can make the sum easier to solve.
Educational software Instruction :1. Work out the missing part then type your answer into the ‘Answer Box’ provided.
2. Press ‘Enter’ when you have finished.
